Stephanie has been practicing Pilates for over 10 years and teaching since 2017. She is a comprehensively trained, Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher with over 600 hours of trainings and certifications. She holds a degree in Human Nutrition-Dietetics and believes highly in the power of nutrient dense whole foods paired with efficient movement practices as pillars in everyone's wellness journey.
After spending several years living and teaching in sunny Los Angeles, California, Stephanie and her husband decided they needed to get back to the mountains they grew up in and moved back to Colorado in 2021 . She is grateful for her time in such a robust city as it helped strengthen her teaching and her spirit. Experienced in training a diverse clientele from high school students, high performing athletes, to those 60 and up, and everything in between. She holds a deep passion for any BODY with the desire to breathe better, move better, and connect more wholly to their body. This may be why she will always hold a special place for her perinatal community. As a certified prenatal and postnatal Pilates teacher, she has helped countless women find their confidence through movement, bring awareness to their pelvic floor, and reduce injuries throughout their pregnancies and beyond.
Stephanie soon realized after her initial sessions, both in her own life and through teaching clients, that utilizing optimal breathing as the foundation for every session is vital in creating core strength, better posture, executing movements with power and efficiency, and so much more. Along with this breathing technique, she found that more and more clients were benefiting from added mobility and self myofascial release prior to their Pilates practice. Inspired by the power and results of these evidence based techniques used with her clients, her own experience, and her cultivation of knowledge from certifications, she knew she wanted to offer sessions with these key elements to her local community in the mountains. This is why she created Aligned Sessions, to help clients transform their deep core, create better spinal and pelvic alignment, improve concentration by becoming more in tune with their body, and in turn enriching their day to day life and propelling their specific fitness goals.
Stephanie has a profound love of learning that keeps her continuing education with annual workshops, trainings, and enjoying different movement modalities with seasoned peers all throughout the world. Because she believes that movement is important in each phase of life and values the importance of meeting your body where it is, you will find her sessions are approachable and creative to suit clients of all levels. She holds space for you to really connect to your body and celebrate your strength through movement.
